City Park, Denver Engagement: Katherine and Michael

Photographing my couples engagement sessions at the exact spot they actually got engaged is always a special treat!  Katherine and Michael got engaged at City Park on a bench with a gorgeous view of the lake, the boat house, and with the city scape on the skyline.  We thought it would be an ideal place to take their engagement photos.  As the story goes, right after Michael asked Katherine to be his wife, a huge flock of geese flew over their heads, as if on cue.  It was so fun to be there with them both and get to relive that special moment with them.  And true to form, the geese made a presence as well.  🙂  Katherine and Micheal brought their cruiser bikes with them, so we were able to use them as props as well as get some fun images of them riding together around the lake.

Their wedding date is set for next weekend, June 15th, 2013 at the Four Seasons Resort in Vail and I couldn’t be more excited about it!  They have over 200 guests and an extremely large wedding party too.  I’m told it is going to be quite the party with amazing details, a fantastic band (Funkiphino-one of my personal favorites!), and lots of dancing.  Their ceremony is going to be on the island on the golf course  and their are lots of special surprises in store.  I have my team ready to go and it’s sure to be one of the highlights of the season.  Given the easy and wonderful connection that Katherine and Micheal and I had at the engagement session, I know that photographing them on their extra-special day is going to be amazing.  A big thank you to their wedding coordinator, JoAnn Moore (Mountains and Meadows), for recommending me to this fantastic couple!  I can’t wait to work with your team on what is sure to be an extraordinary wedding…coming soon.
