{"id":2888,"date":"2014-03-14T12:39:39","date_gmt":"2014-03-14T18:39:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.francesphotography.com\/?p=2888"},"modified":"2014-03-14T12:39:39","modified_gmt":"2014-03-14T18:39:39","slug":"outdoor-boudoir-photography-take-power-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/francesphotography.com\/blog\/outdoor-boudoir-photography-take-power-back\/","title":{"rendered":"Outdoor Boudoir Photography: Take Your Power Back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.francesphotography.com\/boudoir-photography\/\" target=\"_blank\">Outdoor Boudoir Photography<\/a>: There are all kinds of reasons to do a boudoir photo shoot.\u00a0 Maybe you are getting married and want to floor your groom.\u00a0 Maybe you want to surprise your special someone with an unexpected gift for a holiday.\u00a0 Or maybe you just want to do something for yourself.\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t fall into the first two categories, but the last one resonates with you&#8230;more power to YOU!\u00a0 We all experience difficult situations in our lives.\u00a0 We all go through things that cause us heartbreak and pain, sorrow and grief.\u00a0 That&#8217;s how life works when you are brave enough to love.\u00a0 The good news?\u00a0 <strong>The things that don&#8217;t kill us make us stronger<\/strong>.\u00a0 Cliche, you ask?\u00a0 Yes, perhaps.\u00a0 But, there is a truth in that statement, cliche or not.<\/p>\n<p>However, in my experience, there&#8217;s a catch.\u00a0 When something devastating happens in your life, the only one that can really fix it for you, is you.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a matter of changing your perspective and taking time to genuinely heal.\u00a0 And perhaps most importantly, learning to love yourself.\u00a0 Sometimes we need to be reminded of our innate beauty and of our strength.\u00a0\u00a0 Other people can help with that process, but at the end of the day, you are the only one that can control how you think about the events that have taken place, how you think about yourself, and how you want your life to look moving forward.<\/p>\n<p>Four years ago something happened to me that changed my life forever.\u00a0 In a nutshell, I lost my husband and my adopted son in one fell swoop while I was away on business, never to be seen or heard from again.\u00a0 It was the most traumatic experience of my entire life and it took me a long time to come out of the darkness around that event.\u00a0 Shortly after that happened I had a friend offer to do a boudoir photo shoot for me.\u00a0 In the moment I didn&#8217;t understand how much impact that one hour would have on my life, but in looking back I have come to realize that it was the first step in relearning to see myself as a beautiful, powerful, and strong woman that deserves to be happy.<\/p>\n<p>It didn&#8217;t all happen overnight, but it wasn&#8217;t until after that experience that began I realized the power of boudoir photography.\u00a0 It&#8217;s an art form that takes you into your vulnerability- literally stripped- and brings you out on the other side with a new view of yourself.\u00a0 It&#8217;s an experience that is, for most, scary and out of the box.\u00a0 And yet, I have never photographed a woman in this way that has regretted the experience.\u00a0 When you face things that scare you and you are brave enough to look at yourself in a new way, you grow.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t claim to understand exactly how that works, just that it does.<\/p>\n<p>If you or someone you know needs to be reminded of just how amazing and beautiful you\/they are, call me.\u00a0 I will help you see yourself in a way that will literally change the way you look at yourself and potentially your life.\u00a0 That is a promise.[oqeygallery id=377]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Outdoor Boudoir Photography: There are all kinds of reasons to do a boudoir photo shoot.\u00a0 Maybe you are getting married and want to floor your groom.\u00a0 Maybe you want to surprise your special someone with<span class=\"more-button\"><a href=\"https:\/\/francesphotography.com\/blog\/outdoor-boudoir-photography-take-power-back\/\" class=\"more-link\">Continue reading<span class=\"screen-reader-text\">Outdoor Boudoir Photography: Take Your Power Back<\/span><i class=\"fa fa-angle-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10001,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[11],"tags":[150],"class_list":["post-2888","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-boudoir-photography-photos","tag-outdoor-boudoir-photography"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
