Denver Boudoir Photography<\/a>:\u00a0 Words cannot express how thrilled I am to finally write this post!!\u00a0 Almost one year ago, after much deliberation, I decided that it was time to create a space for my boudoir and portrait clients.\u00a0 I looked at dozens of spaces all over Denver and ultimately decided to take on a massive home remodel project that was originally supposed to take approximately 3 months.\u00a0 It took 8 and a half.\u00a0 I lived in my basement while my home was literally torn apart from floor to ceiling and wall to wall.<\/p>\nAs an artist and photographer seriously addicted to color and more importantly, LIGHT, I cannot even begin to describe how dark those 8 months were for me.\u00a0 I lived without a kitchen for about 6 of those months (you’re welcome Starbucks) and figuratively climbed the walls while my house looked and felt like a construction zone from July of 2014 until very recently.\u00a0 Between all of my doubt and worry, hope and determination, frustration and tears, stubborn dedication and way-in-over-my-head-ness, it was a roller-coaster ride that I truly would not wish on anyone.\u00a0 But, now that I am finally on the other side of it, I am beyond happy with how everything has turned out.\u00a0 I guess that old cliche “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,”\u00a0 is more often than not, truth.\u00a0 If I had it to do all over again, I would.<\/p>\n
If you would have asked me 5 years ago if I could see myself in that house growing a boudoir and portrait business, I would have looked at you like you were insane.\u00a0 Not only did I not plan to stay put in Arvada or in that particular home, I honestly wasn’t even considering growing a new branch of my business. But the growth and changes both personally and professionally that I have undergone since 2010 have changed me in more ways than I can begin to explain.\u00a0 I guess the important thing to remember is that life will continue to throw curve balls at us all. It’s how we decide to react that will either send us on a downward spiral or on a progressive evolution.\u00a0 I have done a bit of both, but would like to believe it has been more of the latter…<\/p>\n
