As a wedding photographer, I jump at the chance to get a bit creative with bridal portraits. While it is always fun to snap shots of the bridesmaids and bride getting ready for the big day, my true favorite is taking the bride out solo. On a woman’s special day, what’s better than making her feel like a supermodel? When she is all dressed up and ready to walk down the aisle (or sometimes after she has already got that ring on), it is time to have a bit of fun.
When this gorgeous bride was looking and feeling like a queen, we walked the grounds of The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado to snap a few wedding photos of just the lucky lady. She explored the well-appointed outdoor space and reflected on the big day while I created a few unique wedding photos for her.
With the beautiful wedding bouquet of flowers in lovely shades of ivory, amber, and bronze just peaking into the background, the striking bride takes center stage. Like everyone at the wedding, I was completely enamored with the bride’s perfectly done natural wedding day makeup and effortlessly chic wedding day chignon updo. She absolutely glowed up with a barely-there blend of highlighter and bronzer --- no Photoshop required!
To complete the fashion editorial style wedding photo shoot, I focused in on her face and shoulders to capture the intricate details of her garden-inspired lace wedding dress as the wind blew her blonde locks. In the end, the wedding photo takes on an almost candid style as the bride looks onto her loved one.
