Don’t get me wrong. I love being a wedding photographer in Denver. In fact, maybe I’m biased but I think that my home state of Colorado is one of the most incredible places on the planet. I am truly lucky to be able to capture gorgeous wedding albums of couples tying the knot in magnetic Rocky Mountain wedding ventures. At the same time, we have five-star wedding venues in downtown Denver that are as chic as anything you would find in the hills of Hollywood or the chapels of Paris.
Now, that said, nothing makes my heart skip a beat like the chance to be the wedding photographer at a destination wedding. Packing up the whole family and wedding party for a little adventure creates such an exciting environment. Rather than just attending a wedding, everyone is on their own little getaway. While it can be hectic, it is a truly unforgettable experience.
At the House on the Hill in Austin, Texas, the bride and groom had so many opportunities for one of a kind indoor wedding photography as well as a gorgeous outdoor wedding venue space. We had plenty of opportunities for creative wedding photographs and I got so many incredible photos of the bride and groom. Of the entire wedding album, however, this is my favorite shot. They had a truly magical outdoor space that was made even more special with stunning fairy lights. I especially loved the lighting because it highlighted the bride's unique wedding dress. The striped details of her layer dress created such a truly head-turning look that just added to her beautiful look.
