From engagement photo shoots to wedding portraits, couples are always asking me the same questions: How can we have truly amazing wedding photos? How do we get natural-looking couples shots? I hear you! As a wedding photographer, I know how awkward it can be to try to figure out how to pose for couples’ photography. Of course, you want that wedding album to turn out perfectly and that just turns up the pressure.
So, how do you get comfortable in front of the camera? Do what you love! The best photography often isn’t those posed bridal portraits or engagement photos of the pair staring forward at the camera. The true beauty comes when a couple is honestly enjoying themselves.
As a Denver wedding photographer, I love doing outdoor wedding photography. That’s why it was such a treat to meet the couple from this stunning pic. They shared such a passion for skiing and had fallen in love on the slopes. During their wedding at a Vail ski resort, we knew we would need to strap on the skis! As soon as we went out for a mountainside photo shoot, they lit up all over again.
Capturing a couple bonding over an activity they both truly love adds a rich layer to their photos. More than just a stunning bride and groom in their wedding attire, their fun and adventurous spirits radiate from the photos.
