Have your ever thought about boudoir photography and said to yourself “I’m too old for that business.”? Or how bout, “I have kids, I’m not sexy anymore.”? Well, this post is for YOU! Boudoir photography is for the younger, the older, the single, the married, the engaged, the gay, the straight, the… you name it! It’s not tied to any particular age range, body-type, social status, socioe-comomic status, race or even gender. The only thing that matters is your confidence! The belief that you are beautiful is really the only thing that has any bearing on whether or not you are a candidate for this kind of photo shoot. Ever since I started photographing women in boudoir, I have found this to be true. I have met ladies from all walks of life that have this belief in themselves and I’m telling you right now, age has nothing to do with it. My oldest boudoir client so far was in her 60’s. That’s right!
The sexiest thing about a woman (in my humble opinion) has everything to do with how confident she is and how comfortable she is in her own skin. I’ve photographed young women, older women, thin women, plus size women, women with children, women without children, women who aren’t married, women who are, and the only difference I’ve found in is the level of confidence people either have, or don’t have. I’ve met girls in their twenties that can strut their stuff to the moon and back again. I’ve also met women in thirties, fourties, fifties, and even sixties that can do the same. The only real question to ask yourself if you are interested in a boudoir session is this one: Do you love yourself? If the answer is yes, then you are loveable. And if you are loveable and you are confident in who you are and what you are about, then you are sexy. Sexy isn’t about how you look as much it is about how you FEEL. Are you feelin’ me???
