It’s always a challenge to capture a winning shot of the newlyweds kissing. The wedding photographer has to select the right angle, pick the right moment to click the shutter, and choose the best area where the couple will be placed inside the frame. These details are make-or-break elements in a wedding photo.
This image is an example of a great shot of the couple kissing on the day of their wedding. Not only do the bride and groom look so in love and happy, but this photo also shows the joy of the crowd looking at them expressing their love for one another.
One noticeable person in the crowd is the grandmother behind the groom who smiles so widely as she watches the couple kissing. There’s another guy on the upper left of the photo who seems to be shouting cheerfully. All faces behind the couple are just too happy that you would instantly feel the festive atmosphere when this shot was taken.
This picture is a reminder for the couple of that happy moment during their wedding where every single guest smiles as they kissed. You can only imagine the happiness this photo will bring every time the couple will see it hanging in the bedroom or living room of their home.
Another great shot from the wedding of Jess Cummings and Jon Reedy. As you might recall ...
Jess (previously Cumming), aka, the "princess of the pipe" was not only a vision of a bride, but she is also a US Olympic half-pipe skier. Jon is an extreme skier as well (they met skiing!) and the two of them combined have more than a gaggle of skier friends that helped their reception party bounce well into the night. I learned something new too.
I had the honor of photographing for Jessica and Jon Reedy at Beano's Cabin on June 19th. JoAnn Moore, of Mountains and Meadows, was the fantastic wedding coordinator and not a single detail was missed. JoAnn did such an amazing job with this wedding and it is always such a relief to work with such talented professionals. A huge thank you goes out to her for the referral of this fantastic couple. As you will see momentarily, both Jessica and Jon are beyond gorgeous people and it was funny because we kept getting stopped in the Beaver Creek village by passers-by wanting to know if we were shooting a "real" wedding or if they were models. "Both" I responded.
